Alright, confession time! My Volkswagen Arteon just decided it wants to become an art project. There's some lovely bubbling paint right smack in the center of the roof where it meets the windshield. Because, you know, nothing screams premium car like a little DIY texture.
Apparently, this isn't the dealership's first rodeo with VW paint issues, though they acted all surprised like it was some rare comet sighting. They did say bubbling in this spot was a first, but other problem areas? Oh, plenty. Warranty's got it covered for now, but the car's off to the paint shop for assessment next week.
So tell me, are all Arteons into abstract art these days, or is my car just a bit... special?

my arteon has been fine so far no paint issues like that sounds like yours is unique hope the warranty fixes it quick

you actually lucky that you still has your warranty, my friend's car started to bubble after 8 years and warranty is no longer haha. he took it to the body shop (the one for the car lol) cause the only way to get rid of it is to cut the metal and change it.

Bubbling paint near the windshield is a weird spot, but vw paint issues aren't new. Good thing warranty's covering itjust make sure the shop preps it right

Your car is not special. :) There have been multiple reports on paint issues of some Volkswagen models including the bubbling paint, especially on the roof. So, i'm glad that this happened while under warranty :)

Hahaha that's a funny way to put it. I think bubbly paint is due to the weather right now? I mean you posted it in March so it's still spring and you know what comes of spring.
